Being an Event Staff at Tourism Department of DI Yogyakarta.

ABSTRACT
Tourism Department is a department created to develop tourism. This report described all my internship program activities in Tourism Department of DI Yogyakarta. It was conducted from 7th March until 10th June, 2016. I was placed on two divisions, the first one is Program and the latter was Destination Division. This report focuses in organizing Tourism Department of DI Yogyakarta’s event. In Destination Division I participate in several events. Starting with sending invitation letter to the participant, then make a meeting three weeks pre-event. Contacting any parties like EO to manage the lunchbox, stage, and advertising parties to print flyer and banner. As the results of participating in these events I could learn how to organize and make an event. It needs relation and partnership with communities and other parties to make an event. As student of English Department we’ve taught about tourism and I think learn how to make event to attract tourism is also important.
