ABSTRACT
Peanuts are the second basic requirement after soybeans. Peanut production still
can not meet the needs of the community. Vermicompos and Bio-urine are
nutrient-rich organic fertilizers that are expected to increase the production and
quality of peanut seeds. This study aims to determine the concentration of
vermicompost and bio-urine dosage that can increase the production and quality
of peanut seeds. The research was conducted at State Polytechnic of Jember from
September to November 2016. The research used Randomized Block Design
(RBD) with two factors and three replications. The first factor was vermicompost
concentration, consisting of: 0 kg / plot (V1), 1.6 kg / plot (V2), 3.2 kg / plot (V3).
The second factor was bio-urine dose, consisting of: 0 mL / L (B1), 100 mL / L
(B2), 200 mL / L (B3). The results showed that the dosage of bio-urine had very
significant effect on the production parameters including plant height, number of
pods, wet weight of pod, dry weight of pods, number of planted seeds, number of
planted seeds, dry plant pod production (gr) (kg) / hectare (ton) and peanut seed
quality which includes percentage of germination, seed growth rate and
synchronization of seed growth. The best bio-urine dose is 200 mL / L. While the
provision of vermicompos actually decrease the production and quality of peanut
seeds. This is seen with the best result being at the concentration of 0 kg / plot
vermicompost.
