Making a Tourism Guidebook of Bandealit Beach (Accommodation)

ABSTRACT
Making a Tourism Guidebook of Bandealit Beach entitled “Discover Bandealit Beach” (Accommodation) was my project of study in Politeknik Negeri Jember. Bandealit beach is one of potentially tourism objects in Jember managed by Meru Betiri National Park, but the lack of funding and the access is hard to reach became one of the obstacles that this potential has not been much remains to be developed. Besides, the guidebook of Bandealit Beach is yet not available. Due to this reason, I decided making a tourism guidebook to promote Bandealit beach become one of best destination in Jember for traveller by collecting data and information related to Bandealit beach. In addition, this guidebook contained of full colour pictures, description and information about tourism objects, interesting tour, tourism culinary and accommodation in bilingual edition to make foreign and local tourist easier to read the guidebook. Dealing with this, I focused on my part that is accommodation. In designing the product, I adapted the procedures of designing a guidebook proposed by Aprilia (2009) as cited in Setianingrum et al. (2015). In designing a tourism guidebook, my team used Canva graphic design online and used art paper 85 gram with layout size 220x160mm. In conducting this Final Project, I got new knowledge and experience in designing a tourism guidebook. I suggested English Study Program to add the material related to the process in designing a guidebook or the other printed promotional media. In line a guidebook can help increasing the amount of visitors to Bandealit Beach by promoting media.
