SUMMARY
Developing A Tourism Booklet Of Waterfalls In Pronojiwo, Nur hasanah, F31141815, 2017 Language, Communication and Tourism Deparment Politeknik Negeri Jember, Siti Aisyiyah, S.Pd., M.Pd, (first supervisor) and Alfi Hidayatu Miqawati, S.Pd., M.Pd, (second supervisor).
This final project was developing a tourism booklet of waterfalls in Pronojiwo. It aimed to promote the waterfall tourism objects in Pronojiwo Sub District. Pronojiwo Sub District has five waterfall tourism objects but there are only three of them has been famous. Thus, the writer decided to develop a booklet to cover the five waterfalls to be promoted by the Tourism and Culture District Agency. The five waterfalls in Pronojiwo were Sumber Telu waterfall, Kabut Pelangi waterfall, Kapas Biru waterfall, Goa Tetes, and Tumpak Sewu waterfall. The booklet was made in bilingual, Indonesia and English. In making this booklet the writer used four methods to collect the data. First was interview to collect the waterfall information. Second was observation to ensure the available facilities. Third was documentation to collect the pictures and number of tourist. The last was audiovisual material to add some pictures. Besides, the writer adapted procedure of developing booklet from Arin (2009). They were deciding idea, outlining the booklet, writing the content of booklet, reviewing the content of booklet, revising booklet, arranging layout and binding the booklet. The content of this product included the history, short description about the waterfall tourism object, the access, location, the facilities and also ticket price. There was also a simple map that informed tourist to reach the waterfall tourism objects. In developing this booklet, the writer found difficulties in creating good commercial, informative, and descriptive sentences in making the script. Finally, this booklet was expected to be useful for Tourism and Culture District Agency in Lumajang. The writer believed that this product could be useful as a reference for future similar final project.
