ABSTRACT

The research about the influence of spacing test and number of seedlings method SRI (system of rice intensification) to increase seed production and quality of rice seeds Bunda Sri Madrim variety. This research has held for 5 months, started on July 2013 - October 2013. The research implemented at field and laboratory seed production techniques Departmen of Agricultural Production Politeknik Negeri Jember with a height of ± 89 asl. This research is held by using method Factorial Random Block Design with 2 factors. First factor is spacing (J), which consist of spacing use legowo 2:1 (J1), spacing legowo 5:1(J2) and spacing of 19,5 x9, 5 cm (J3). And the second factor is Number of seedlings (B) , which consist of seedling use 1 seed per planting hole (B1), 2 seeds per planting hole (B2) and 3 seeds per planting hole (B3). The result showed that the treatment spacing significantly affected the number of tillers, plant height at harvest time, number of productive tillers and yield potential. The parameters of yield potential showed that the treatment of spacing 19,5 x 9,5 cm gave the best yield potential about 8075 tons / Ha. There is interaction between the spacing and the number of seedlings to the weight of 100 grains. The spacing use legowo 2:1 and the number of seeds use 1 seed per planting hole, resulted in the total weight of 100 grains of the most high.
