Internship program is a program which organize for Polije to apply student’s skill in work place before graduate. It is conducted in sixth semester for three years diploma with duration of 384 hours. The writer did Intership program started from March 31th 2017 up to June 24th 2017. The writer can choose the recommended place by herselves which is appropiate. Nirwana Wisata Indonesia Tour And Travel is the most appropiate place for the writer to conducted Intership program.
It was establish since 2013. They provide a flight ticket, tour package, hotel voucher, transfer in-out airport, tour guide, and additional service (managing visa and passport documents and rental cars or buses). The located is at Sriwijaya street No. 51 A, Sumbersari, Jember. They open monday until saturday started from 08.00 a.m. up to 16.00 p.m.
By conducting Internship program, the writer can apply her objectives to apply the skill and knowledge such as, English for Tour and Travel, Pengelolaan Biro Perjalanan, English for Correspondence, English for Secretary, and Computer skill. Beside that, the writer get working experience and learn the management in tour and travel agency. To approved the profesionalism in work place, we could do three things. There were coming on time, avoided to say “I can not do this” but said “I can try this”, tried friendly and patient with every customers.
There was important activities which the writer did in her daily activities during Intership program. There is administration in front of the office. The writer did four activities. In addition, the writers a lot of knowledge what travel is and how to arrange the trip from marketing activities gets having a deal with clients with brief disscusion , until arranging a pre-tour activities which is arranging the bus, routes, briefing with the tour leaders, and etc. Also he knows how to be a tour leader by explaining the agendas of the tripand acompanied them related with the trips schedules.
The first problem that he finds is, he is nervous when he explains the trip agenda in front of the passengers, but my he is fully supported with all of the tour leaders partner and he also makes some outline handwriting to make him more easily to speak in front of public as a tour leader.Although that, by conducted this internship program at Nirwana Wisata Indonesia Tour And Travel, it will be unforgettable memories for me and Nirawana Wisata as part of family and place of sharing experince.
