ABSTRACT
Internship Program becomes something urgently that needed by Polytechnic
students when they want to enter the industrial business as a professional worker.
This activity aims for students who graduate from this college have the ability to face
the challenges that exist in the world of industry. The writer choose Fairfield by
Marriott hotel as the institution to conduct my Internship Program, because Fairfield
by Marriott Surabaya is a new hotel in Indonesia under the auspices of JW Marriott,
one of the popular hotel in the world, and also Fairfield by Marriott is located in big
city of Surabaya, central business city in East Java. Because of that, there are a lot of
foreigners and local businessman. So, the writer can apply English for specific
purposes skill and English skills in doing this Internship Program. This internship
program ran from March until June 2017. The writer got an opportunity to handle
jobs in Graphic Designer under of Sales & Marketing Department. The activities that
were done during internship program were design all the promotional media of the
hotel and being a Photographer of the hotel. From that position, the writer learned and
got a lot of experiences from Graphic Designer and photographer activities in this
hotel.
