Language, Communication and Tourism department is one of the departments in Politeknik Negeri Jember, which creates qualified human resources with high level of soft skill and hard skill so the students are ready to compete in the work. Considering the importance of soft skill and hard skill that must be owned by every human source then, Language, Communication and Tourism Department requires the students of English study program to conduct Internship Program as addition, stabilization, and mastering of soft skill and hard skill and also as one of the graduation requirements for every students. Based on the explanation above, the writer decided to conduct Internship Program in one of Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was Institute for Research and Empowerment (IRE). This institution was engaged in developing and empowering of local society which is each project was cooperating with other international institution. Even though, not many staff of IRE was less competent in mastering English. Thus, it can be an opportunity by the writer to conduct Internship Program because it was related with the field of writer that was in translating and communicating. During the writer’s Internship Program, the writer was assigned in Communication and Publication department. The writer did many activities there, such as translating, reviewing, weakly discussion, visiting to several village, meeting, presentation, and so on. But in this report, the writer only focused in translating profile of IRE in website and reviewing journal. The writer concluded that Institute for Research and Empowerment is one of appropiate places to conduct the internship program because writer could implement what she got from her study in State Polytechnic of Jember.
