Tourism District Agency of Bondowoso Regency is a department that develops tourism object, culture, youth and sport in Bondowoso Regency. It is located at A. Yani Street, 33th Bondowoso Regency. There are many tourism objects in the Bondowoso which make Tourism District Agency of Bondowoso responsible to make it better than before and promote those tourism objects for both foreign and domestic visitors. Tourism District Agency of Bondowoso manages many tourism objects such as sport tourism, cultural tourism, nature tourism and historical tourism. In sport tourism it manages Ijen Trail Running and Bosamba Rafting. In cultural tourism it manages Singo Ulung and Boneka Kathok. In Nature tourism it manage Kawah Wurung, Tancak Kembar Waterfall, Gantongan Waterfall, Bosamba Rafting, the Peak Area of P28. And in historical tourism it manage Glingseran Sites and Pekauman Sites. Based on the reason above, I was interested in conducting my internship program at that place because I wanted to apply my skills that I got during I studied in English Study Program that have correlation in promote tourism object such as English for General Purposes, English for Tour and Travel, Translation, Pengelolaan Biro Perjalanan Wisata,. Besides, I can apply computer skill and English for correspondence in making some documents or letter relate this department. During my internship program at Tourism District Agency of Bondowoso I was placed in Tourism and Youth and Sport Division. The activities that I did in these divisions were I was placed in Tourism and Youth and Sport Division. The activities that I did in these divisions were Making Descriptions of Tourism Objects of Bondowoso, Recording a Data of Hotel Visitors each Month , Making chart of Hotel Visitors, , Making a Letter, Joining Programs, Archiving an Incoming Letter, Being a committee of event and Being a Minutes of Meeting. In the internship program, I got an opportunity to apply my skills that I had got in theory and practicum class at English Study Program. In conducted those activities, I got problem especially in making summary of meeting. When did it, I forgot to write complete name of the participant it made the staff remained me to revise. Based on the explanation, it is clear that Tourism District Agency of Bondowoso is an appropriate place to conduct the internship program for me as the student of English Study Program of Language, Communication and Tourism Department of State Polytechnic of Jember. It was because I got a lot of experiences and knowledge.
