For the student of Politeknik Negeri Jember, internship program or “Praktek Kerja Lapang (PKL)” is the way to get the experience how professional translation works. Internship Program or “Praktek Kerja Lapang (PKL)” is one way that can be taken to gain work experience before the student entering the real activities in the work place. The goal of internship program is to make students feel the activities so that students can apply directly knowledge and skills that have been studied with the actual work in the company. I chose Ijen View Hotel and Resort to conduct my Internship Program. In this company, I could apply my knowledge on the college such as English for hotel and restaurant, English speaking skill and Publict Relation. It is located at Jl. KIS. Mangunsarkoro Street 888 Bondowoso 68216 East Java Indonesia
As one of internship students, I had to do all activities in sales marketing department in Ijen View Hotel and Resort to get more knowledge and experience. The main duty in sales marketing department are handling customers, making contract rate and MOD ( Manager On Duty). In addition, I also did other activities such as help Food and Beverage Service Department, Food and Beverage product and Front Office. Therefore, this report contains about my activities during doing Internship Program in sales marketing department in Ijen View Hotel and Resort, especially Being Good Public Relation of Sales and Marketing Department in Ijen
View Hotel and Resort Bondowoso that I did, that were: handling customers, making contract rate and MOD ( Manager On Duty).
After, I conducted the internship program in Ijen View Hotel and Resort I could apply my english skill such as public relation when I was handling customer, writing skill when I was english making contract rate, english hotel and resort when I was doing MOD ( Manager on Duty and speaking skill when I was giving information to the foreign guests. So, Ijen View Hotel and resort was appropriate place for me to apply every material I had learned from my college.
