Pemanfaatan Media Tanam Blotong Dan Lama Perendaman Hot Water Treatment Pada Pertumbuhan Tunas Tebu Budchip ( Saccharum officinarum L. )The utilization of blotong plant media and soaking time of hot water treatment on sugarcane bud chips growth ( Saccharum officinarum L. ). Widia Tri Febrilia Program Studi Teknik Produksi Benih Jurusan Produksi Pertanian ABSTRACT One of the methods to provide healthy and quality of sugarcane seedling by using proper media and treatment. Sugarcane industry waste utilization is blotong, then soaking budchip to the hot water treatment because those are vulnerable to fungus. This study was conducted for 3 months, starting from August to November 2016, located in State Polytechnic of Jember farm. Randomized block design (RBD) with two factors and three replication as the methods of this research. The first factor is sand media, top soil, and blotong (M consist of 30%, 30%, 40%(M1), 20%, 10%, 70% (M2), 5%, 5%, 90% (M3). The second factor is length of soaking in hot water treatment: 50°c (H), which consist of 10 minutes (H1), 20 minutes (H2), 30 minutes (H3). Observation data on each parameter were analyzed by using the formula F test (ANOVA) followed by the level calculation of 5% DMRT. The result showed, the treatment of medias (M1) gave significant effect to long leaf and sum of leaf. Provided highly significant effect to the plant height, long leaf, and sum of leaf. Then, the using of the lenght of soaking (H3) only gave significant effect to sum of leaf. There was not significant effect to all parameters. There was interaction between medias and length of soaking (M1H3) to the parameters long leaf,sum of leaf, and sum of young plants . Keywords: Budchip, Blotong, Hot Water Treatment
