Kurnia Ainun Fitrah Study Program Production Technology of Food Crops Department of Agricultural Production ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know Corn Production (Zea mays L.) BISI-2 variety with application of mulching of straw and during cutting (topping). This research was conducted for 3 months from September 2016 until December 2016. All activities were conducted in Banjar Sengon Village, Patrang Sub-district, Jember District. This research used factorial randomized block design with 2 factor 8 treatment and 3 repetition, M2 factor that is giving mulch straw, non giving mulch of straw, W 4 factor, that is the time of topping at age 93 HST, Time topping at age 96 HST, topping time at age 99 HST, topping time at age 102 HST, with combination of M0W0, M0W1, M0W2, M0W3, M1W0, M1W1, M1W2, M1W3. Data were analyzed by using ANOVA and further tested by using DMRT level 5%. The results of this study show that the Treatment of Mulching Straw (M) gives a real effect (*) on the parameters of wet cob weight per plot, dry cob weight per plot and dried sample cob weight parameters.
