Along with security issues is one important aspect of an information system. A security system that can secure the server information system from
earlier intruders and the system can tell if an error occurs. The method used in this thesis is the first is the literature and field study, then the design, followed by the development of the system, after completion of testing and analysis, testing is done by using web already installed nagios contained in virtualbox, ie virtualbox as a workmanship of Nagios , There is also used here is to monitor a working system that uses Nagios. Implementation of the system starts by configuring the hadware system available with Ubuntu server installation and other support. The test will be done is using the offline system. Tests carried out on the IDS server are attempted over the web. Tests dilakuakan secra offline in order to know the work of the Nagios used as control monitoring.
