Ristu Bagus Ageng Pangestu Study Program of Technique Production Seeds Major of Production Agriculture State Polytechnic of Jember ABSTRACT A good seed is determined by the ability of seed to absorb the nutrients, and planting media as a provider of nutrients that is needed for seedling growth. One of the efforts of utilization of giberelin as growth regulator substance is to stimulate the growth of seeds in absorbing nutrients, while urea fertilizer as a source of nutrient content on planting media which is needed for the growth of seeds maximally. This study was conducted for 10 weeks starting from January 2017 until April 2017 and was carried out in the experimental field in Seed Technology Laboratory of State Polytechnic of Jember. This study uses a randomized groups factorial design, consist of 2 factors. First factor is a gibberellin application in plants with concentrations of 50 ppm, 75 ppm and 100 ppm. The second factor is urea fertilizer with dose of 1 gram, 2 gram and 3 gram / plant. The results showed that application of gibberellin concentration in plants showed significant effect on seed height at 8-10 weeks after application, the number of leaves at 6-10 weeks after application, and root length at age 10 weeks after application. The dose of urea fertilizer had significant effect on seed height at 4-10 weeks after application, the number of leaves at age 4-10 weeks after application, and root length at age 10 weeks after application.
