Making a Company Profile Video of PTPN X Kebun Kertosari Jember, Esa Oktavia Edita Sari, F31141736, Year 2018, 39 pages, Language, Communication and Tourism, Politeknik Negeri Jember, Nanik Mariyati, S.Pd., M.Pd., (Supervisor 1) and Alfi Hidayatu Miqawati, S.Pd, M.Pd. (Supervisor 2).
PTPN X Kebun Kertosari Jember is a company that plants and produces tobacco which has export quality to fullfil the needs of world cigar market. Nowadyas, PTPN X Kebun Pakusari Jember is eager to promote its company’s product wider. To reveal this goal, it needed a promotion media which can be reached by market from all over the world. According to the results of my interview with the head of Public Relation Department of PTPN X Kebun Kertosari Jember, the company has already provided a website to promote and give information to public related to the tobacco plantation and its products. Unfortunately, this medium is not completed with any company profile video. Thus, I decided to making a company profile video of PTPN X Kebun Kertosari Jember.
Video Company profile is a very effective presentation medium in the of multimedia. This is due to a combination of images, text, moving images and sound that makes it interesting. The duration of video company profile is very short, and therefore the content to be included should be clear. This type of company profile needs many personnel such as the conceptor, editor, and professional cameraman. This video provided information and also the production activities in the company. The company profile video presented some parts including opening, body and closing. The opening show the company’s logo, the location, the short history and the visions and missions of PTPN X Kebun Kertosari Jember. The body presented the facilities, the activities of production process, the structure of organization and the product of PTPN X Kebun Kertosari Jember. The closing presented the information about the strength, the achievement of the PTPN X Kebun Kertosari Jember, and the contact information of PTPN X Kebun Kertosari Jember.
In collecting data, I devided the result into four parts such as interview, observation, documentation and audiovisual. In making a company profile video of PTPN X Kebun Kertosari Jember, I devided the process into six parts such as identifying the problems, designing the concept, creating script, creating storyboard, producing the system, revising and distributing. During the process of doing this final project, I got new knowledge and experiences, especially when I did interview with the head of Public Relation Department. In this section, I would apply my public speaking skill. The result of my final project was a company profile video of PTPN X Kebun Kertosari Jember. I hoped this profile video could help the company to provide a newest form of information for its domestic and international customers.
