ABSTRACT

Internship Industry (MKI) is done in PT. AHSTI (Asian Hybrid Seed Technologies Indonesia) Jember held on March 2, 2015 until May 31, 2015. One of the companies engaged in research and development of corn hybrids were then expand its business specifically in the areas of production, processing and marketing of hybrid corn seed quality with superior processing using modern facilities and the largest city of the Philippines malay balay. The activities are the production of corn seed varieties parent AHP310 the Parent Seed departments. This production technique includes in the land and activities in the plant (post-harvest). In the land activities include surveys on land, isolation, cultivation, planting, maintenance, cutting the top of the stems of corn plants, and harvesting. While the activity in the plant (post-harvest) includes admission corn, drying, shelling, gravity, treatment, packing and labeling. Results of Internship Industry (MKI) is the knowledge of the parent corn seed production techniques AHP310 variety of stages to post-harvest land survey and a product ready for sale. Based Internship Industry (MKI) which has been implemented students gain insights and new knowledge and skilled in the production of corn seed parent.
