ABSTRACT


The research to determine effect of salt application to rice production Situ Bagendit varieties. The research have been done 4 months starting August 2017 until Decembe 2017 used the non factorial randomized block design method with single factor 4 treatments consisted, that are A1 (Control), A2 (Urea 100%), A3 (Salt 100%), A4 (Urea 50% + Salt 50%) with 6 replications. A4 treatment is best because it gives real effect on the plant height parameters 30 & 45 DAP, number of tillers 30 & 42 DAP, number of panicles 110 DAP, wet weight per sample and per plot, dry weight per sample and per plot. The conclusion of this research is the application of salt gives a real effect, so it can be use as alternative fertilizer because it proved able to increase rice production 5,676 tons per hectare compare to the average of 5,5 tons per hectare of national production.
