Preparation and Analysis of Quality Briquette Powder Wood Sengon(AlbiziaChinensis)and Flowers pine(Pinus)with Molasses Sugar Cane(Molasses) As Adhesive DedyEkoRahmanto as Supervisor Main and MochammadNuruddin as Supervisor Members MochamadNuralamin Engineering Program Renewable Energy Engineering ABSTRACT Briquette is a solid fuel as an alternative energy source instead of oil fuel and comes from organic materials that have undergone a process of casting and compression with certain compressive power. Raw materials commonly used as briquettes are wood, twigs, leaves, agricultural and forestry waste. Briquettes are used with the first process of drying. The raw material used is in the form of sengon wood sawdust. Sengon wood sawdust was chosen because of its abundant and easily available amount. The problems that exist in making sengon wood powder briquettes, namely the calorific value of sengon wood powder briquettes are still less than the standard calorific value of briquettes. To increase the calorific value, add pine flowers. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of sengon wood powder and pine flower briquettes using adhesive derived from molasses. The results of this study found sengon wood powder briquettes and pine flowers included in the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 1999-2000). The best composition is owned by briquettes with a composition of SP1 where a composition ratio of 70% sengon wood powder and 30% pine flower is carried out. Briquettes with SP1 composition have a moisture content of 5%, ash content of 7.86%, density of 0.65 gr / cm3, compressive strength of 7.53 kg / cm2 and calorific value of 5049.18 cal / gr .
