(Supervisior) and Denok Marini (External Supervisior).
Internship Program is one of requirements to complete diploma education at Politeknik Negeri Jember. This program is conducted to prepare the students when entering the real workplace. When conducting internship program, the students can apply the knowledges that they have learnt especially English for Hotel and Restaurant and English ability. In conducting this program, I chose Ijen View Hotel and Resort Bondowoso as the place to conduct my Internship Program.
Ijen View Hotel & Resort is located in Bondowoso which has a pretty cool air and the hotel itself has a beautiful garden and recreation area that is swimming pool and outbound. Name of "Ijen View Hotel & Resort" is a crater of Mount Ijen which is well known by many local, Domestic and International people so that the name of Ijen View is easy to know, easy to say and located. Ijen View Hotel and Resort also one of recomended hotel for people who wants to relaxation themself, event, or just stay overnight
The internship program had been conducted for three months in Ijen View Hotel and Resort Bondowoso. It was started from 5st March 2018 up to 18st May 2018 In conducting this program, I was placed in Food and Beverage (F&B) Service Department. In this department, I was given a chance to be a waitress at Javanoa Resto and Pujasera Cafe. Here, I learned many things that I did not get in college. I also knew what the roles of being a waitress. The activities that I had done during had roles as waitress were being cashier, Admin F&B Services, Setting Up Buffet, Taking Order, Delivering Food and Beverage in Restaurant and Pujasera, Learn How To Staff Control Performance, and Helping the Banquet Staff for Setting Event.
The writer had a job as a waitress in Javanoa Resto and Pujasera Cafe. In conducting the internship program the writer had several activities, such as such as a cashier, Admin F&B Services, Setting Up Buffet, Taking Order, Delivering Food and Beverage in Restaurant and Pujasera, Learn How To Staff Control Performance, and helping the banquet staff for setting event.
Having finished the job training in Ijen View Hotel and Resort, I got new knowledges and experiences about hospitality and workplace environment. It will be beneficial for me to know the workplace behaviour before entering the industrial business.Furthermore, it will help me to adapt with the real workplace later.
