The Difference of Iodine and Zinc Intake on the Stunting and Non-Stunting Toddlers in Arjasa Health Center Working Area Jember Endah Kusuma Ningrum Clinical Nutrition Study Program Health Department ABSTRACT Stunting is a growth disorder where the height is shorter than the normal height on a certain age. Stunting is a description of a chronic clinical status based on the index of height according to age (TB/U) with the threshold of Z-score<-3 of the Deviation Standard (DS) was included as the very short category and Z-score≥ -3 until Z-score<-2 of the Deviation Standard (DS) was included as short. The research aimed to determine the difference of iodine and zinc intake on the stunting and non-stunting toddlers in Arjasa Health Center Working Area Jember. This research used analytical survey method with cross sectional design. The independent variable of this research was the iodine and zinc intake, while the dependent variable was the clinical status of the stuntings and non-stuntings. The research instrument used to collect the intake is the Food Recall Form 1x24 Hours. This research was conducted from December 2017 until January 2018 with 42 toddlers as the subject. Based on the bivariate analysis by using Chi Square statistical test, the test on the difference of iodine and zinc intake on the stunting and non-stunting toddlers in Arjasa Health Center Working Area Jember showed that there were no any difference between the iodine and zinc intake on the sunting and non-stunting toddlers, which means there are other factors that affect and differentiate the clinical status of the stunting and non-stunting toddlers.
