Effects of Nutrition Counseling on Compliance of Iron Supplement Consumption and Hemoglobin Level in Pregnant Women with Anemia. Ayu Febriyatna, S.ST., M.Gizi as chief counselor Indah Liananta Utami Program Study Clinical Nutrition Health Department ABSTRACT Pregnant women are a group that is prone to anemia (Hb level <11 g / dl). The government has made efforts to provide Fe tablets, but this effort was unsuccessful with the reason that the compliance of pregnant women to consume Fe tablets was still low. Nutrition counseling is expected to improve maternal knowledge so that it can change behavior to be more obedient in the consumption of iron supplement and can improve hemoglobin levels in anemic pregnant women. This study uses a Non Randomized Comtrol Group Pretest Posttest Design study design. The number of subjects was 44 people who were divided into control groups and treatment groups of 22 using Purposive Sampling technique. Research instruments using the Hb level of the Quick Check Hb, Compliance Tablet Fe Consumption Monitoring Card, Nutritional Care Form, 1x24 hour Recall Form, flip chart and leaflets with anemia material in pregnancy and nutrition for pregnant women. Analysis using SPSS 16.0 with Mann Whitney, Wilcoxon and Paire T-Test. The conclusion of this study there was no significant difference between the compliance of Fe tablet consumption in the control group and the treatment group, there was no difference in Hb levels in the control group before and after counseling, there was no difference in Hb levels in the treatment group before and after counseling , there was no differences in Hb levels in the control group before and after counseling and there are differences in Hb levels in the treatment group before and after counseling.
