Devi Marlitasari Study Program of Medical Records D-IV Health Department ABSTRACT The sophistication of technology is growing in accordance with the times by using barcodes. Borrowing becomes easy to do just by firing Barcode scanner at the barcode be translated into numbers in the system so that it can easily read the information. Regional Public Hospital Genteng already using SIMRS on registration section, but in the borrowing and repayment medical record file is still using the logbook of the expedition. Borrowing and returning medical record file shall be conducted in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that apply in hospitals, in order to maintain medical records of loss and physical damage, file medical records of outpatient must be returned 1x24 hours and the medical records of hospitalization shall be returned after 2x24 hours after discharge. Often, the borrower be late in returning the medical record file, thus causing difficulties in retrieval, it is because there is no information system that records all the process of borrowing and returning the file electronically, to realize the speed and accuracy in borrowing and repayment medical record file and easier for officers filling in the reporting of borrowing and repayment generate the files required information system of borrowing and repayment medical record file with barcodes and can result in the retention of data files. The purpose of this research is to design an information system of borrowing and repayment medical record file with the barcode. System development methods in this study is a prototype by using Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9.0. Data collection methods used were interviews, observation, documentation and brainstorming. Results from this study is the information system of borrowing and repayment record file that can simplify and accelerate the work of officers.
