ABSTRACT



The research was aimed to knowing the effectiveness of tobacco waste as a vegetable insecticide controlling Spodoptera litura larvae. The research was conducted using completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors. The first factors was the type of insecticides with 5 concentration i.e control (0%), tobacco waste insecticide concentration of 10% and 15%, tobacco liquid smoke insecticide concentration of 5% and 10%. The second factors is insecticide application method i.e larvae spray method and feed dipping method. The results of the research showed that tobacco waste was effective as an vegetable insecticide against Spodoptera litura larvae. The best results are shown by combination tobacco liquid smoke concentration 5% and  feed dipping method with a LT 50 value of 79 hours
