SUMMARY
Activities at Taman Pintar Yogyakarta; Cooperating & Marketing, Maharani Dyah Puspito Retno, 2018, 14 Pages, Language, Communication and Tourism Department, Politeknik Negeri Jember, Enik Rukiati, S.Pd.,M.Pd (Supervisor) and Pipiet Dhanayu Pratiwindya, S.Pd. (Field Supervisor).
Politeknik Negeri Jember locates is at Jalan Mastrip Jember, East Java. Politeknik Negeri Jember is one of campus that has lots of departments. Language, Communication and Tourism is one of departments at Politeknik Negeri Jember. That department has one study program, that is English study program.
In this study program, there are two kind of requirements to graduate. One of them is finishing internship program. This program is held about two until three months. Internship program gives some experiences that the students did not get in campus. Internship program is the activity that the purpose is to apply the lessons has been learned to practice and to increase students’ skill in the real workplace. To do this program, the student need to know the job and the responsibility of a certain position.
The writer choose Taman Pintar Yogyakarta to conduct the internship program. Taman Pintar Yogyakarta is the only one science center that located at Jalan Panembahan Senopati, Yogyakarta. The writer was placed in Public Relation, Cooperating & Marketng Division. The internship program was started for two and a half month. It started from 12th April to 21st May 2018. The working time was started from 8 am to 4 pm. It was about 8 hours.
During internship program, the writer had some struggles those are, the writer got confused when the first time handled email and telephone. So, the writer asked to the field supervisor solve the problem. The next stuggle was the writer had to make a sentences as a caption in social media of Taman Pintar Yogyakarta. To solve the problem, the writer had to search some references in the internet and asked to the field supervisor.
