SUMMARY
Making a Company Profile Video of Edotel SMK Negeri 3 Jember, Ulvionita Ningsari, Nim F31150342, Year 2018, 27 pages, English Study Program, Politeknik Negeri Jember, Fitri Wijayanti, S.Pd., M.Pd. (Supervisor). Vocational High School is a school based on vocation and has an integral part of the national education system. One of Vocational High Schools is Vocational High School 3 Jember or SMK Negeri 3 Jember. SMK Negeri 3 Jember provides facilities for the students to equip them with many skills or competencies. One of facilities is called as Edotel (Educational Hotel). This hotel is not only used for students practice activities but it can be used as an accommodation for tourists to stay. This hotel has 2 floors and 6 rooms and the roomrate is around Rp.200.000 – Rp.300.000 per day. This hotel provides facilities like, spa, and beauty salon. But it showed that in 2017 the guest is only 6 guests, it is because the location of this hotel not in middle of town. Based on those reasons, the writer decided to make a promotional media in the form of video to promote the Edotel as her final project. This project focuses on making company profile video as a promotional media which can give detail information of Edotel SMK Negeri 3 Jember.
The writer wanted to promote Edotel SMK Negeri 3 Jember. The video contained about the history of hotel, the information about facilities and room types. In doing this final project, the writer has done the data collecting methods they were interview, observation, documentation and audiovisual materials. The data collecting methods used to get valid data of the Edotel such as the history of hotel, the information about facilities, the activities in hotel and room types include roomrate, and facilities of each room. Besides, the writer used some steps in doing this final project those are preproduction, production, postproduction, evaluation and finishing the product.
This final project gave some advantages. First, the writer can improve the writer’s speaking skill with a good pronounciation. The writer could also applied her knowledge of reading and writing that got from English study program in making the report of final project. Next, the writer got new knowledge in making the company profile video although she got some difficulties in making the script and the product, but the writer got support and advice from her supervisor. Thus, the writer could finish this final project. Hopefully the result of the video could help the guest or visitor to get the information about Edotel SMK Negeri 3 Jember. It could also used by the SMK Negeri 3 Jember especially Hospitality Accommodation Major as a promotional media to promote the Edotel SMK Negeri 3 Jember. This video decided into three parts, those are opening, content and the last is closing.
