Iqbal Taufiqurrahman Study Program of Seed Production Technique Majoring of Agricultural Production Program Studi Teknik Produksi Benih Jurusan Produksi Pertanian ABSTRACK The objective of this research is the Effect of Planting Space on the Yield of Soybean Seed (Glycine max L. Merill). This research was conducted on August-November 2017 in , Arjasa, Jember, East Java. This research used the factorial randomized block design with 4 replications. The main factor is Planting space (J1) = 40x25 cm planting space, Planting space (J2) = 40x30 cm planting space, Planting space (J3) = 40x35 planting space. The second factor is Variety (V1) = Anjasmoro variety, Variety (V2) = Argomulyo variety, which is replicated 4 times for each. The research result data was processed statistically by using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), the result showed a significant effect that the 5% Duncan Multiple Range Test were applied. The research result showed a significant difference on the planting space and varieties. According to the result, the 5% DMRT test was applied on the planting space and varieties, it could be determined that planting space and varieties had a significant effect on the plant height, pod weight per plant, weight of 100 grains. In the planting space observation, the best plant height is in the 40x25 cm planting space, the best weight pod per plant is in the 40x35 cm planting space, and the significant difference on the weight of 100 grains is in the 40x35 cm planting space.
