Anitahatur Rofi'ah Study Program of Seed Production Technique Majoring of Agricultural Production Department Program Studi Teknik Produksi Benih Jurusan Produksi Pertanian ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of concentrations of paclobutrazol and varieties on the production and quality of corn seeds. This research was conducted in August-November 2017 in Antirogo Village, Sumbersari District, Jember Regency. The experimental design used was Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the concentration of paclobutrazol (K) which consists of 4 levels, K0 = 0 ppm, K1 = 500 ppm, K2 = 1000 ppm and K3 = 1500 ppm. The second factor is Variety (V) which consists of 2 levels, V1 = Yellow Srikandi Varieties and V2 = Bisma Varieties. Data were analyzed using the F test formula (ANOVA) and continued with the Advanced Test calculation DMRT error rate was 5%. The results showed that the treatment of paclobutrazol concentration had an effect on flowering age but did not affect the production and quality of corn seeds, the best concentration of paclobutrazol was 1500 ppm. The corn varieties affect the ear diameter, the number of rows / cobs and the weight of 1000 grains, the best varieties are the Yellow Srikandi variety. The interaction of the concentration of paclobutrazol and varieties did not affect the production and quality of corn seeds.
