ABSTRACT
The use of husk powders as a composite manufacture in the background by metal material that still dominate in the industrial field and the use of synthetic composites that are difficult to decompose by nature. Based on this, the writer conducted a study on the manufacture of laminate powder of husk powder with PVAc matrix. The purpose of this study was to analyze the mechanical properties of laminate composite material by varying the alloy between husk powderwith PVAc, namely 50%:50%, 60%:40%, and 70%:30%. Laminate composites were subjected to impact tests, tensile and bending tests to determine the effect of reinforcement and matrix mixtures of laminate composite materials. The impact test results stated that the most energy absorbed value/laminate composite had the best mechanical strengthin 70%:30% mixture variation onsingle specimens and 60%:40% double specimens with an average value of 24,67 Joule. Tensile tested results stated that the maximum stress are found on the laminate composite on 50%:50% mixture variationon voltage values of 4,80N/mm2. The bending test results to get the greatest bending strength in 50%:50% mixture variationin bending strength value of 7,12 Mpa. The results of this study stated that the more material the husk powder makes the specimen has higher stiffness properties so that it can get goog absorption energy, it is inversely proportional to the many uses of PVAc matrix making the tensile strength and bending of laminate composite material have more elastic properties so as to get tensile strength and better bending.
