Resya Diniatul Sukma Hanifa MS Seed Production Technique Program Agiculture Production Department ABSTRACT Cucumber is a horticultural product that has good market prospect and many benefits. The production of hybrid cucumber is still very low, it is necessary to make efforts to increase the production of cucumber seeds, by improving cultivation techniques including the application of various pruning and the use of phonska fertilizer. This research was conducted from June to August 2017 in the KarangPaiton field, Ledokombo sub-village, Krajan Village, Jember Regency. This study used a randomized block design with 2 factors. The first factor was the variation of pruning which had 3 levels: P1 = Pruning the 15th segment, P2 = Pruning the 20th segment, and P3 = Pruning the 25th segment. The second factor is the use of phonska fertilizer which had 3 levels: D1 = Phonska Fertilizer 105gr / plant, D2 = the use of 126gr / plant Phonska Fertilizer, and D3 = the use of Phonska Fertilizer 147gr / plant. The result of the study showed that the treatment of the pruning of the 25th tip segment (P3) variation had a significant effect on the simultaneous parameters of growing seeds, also the weight parameter and number of fruit per plant. The treatment of phonska fertilizer with a dose of 105gr / plant (D1) had a very significantly affected on the parameters of seed germination and significantly affected the number of each plant of fruit. The interaction of the treatment for the pruning of the 25th tip segment variation and phonska fertilizer with a dose of 105gr / plant (P3D1) had a significant effect to the weight parameter of planting fruits and the number of fruits per plant.
