<note>SUMMARY

The Tourism and Culture Department of Lumajang is a department that manages and develops tourism objects and culture in Lumajang Regency. This department is located in Kawasan Wonerjo Terpadu (KWT) Lumajang Regency. Lumajang has some famous tourism objects, like Triangle Lakes, B29 Hill, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, Kertowono Argo Tourism, The Bamboo Wood and Mandara Giri Semeru Agung Temple. Particulary this temple, it is located in Senduro Subdistrict and becomes the oldest temple in Java Island. Moreover, Lumajang also known with its traditional culture like “Jaran Kencak”. So that the Tourism and Culture Department of Lumajang participates to promote and develop the tourism object in Lumajang.
I felt interest to conduct the internship program at The Tourism and Culture Department of Lumajang because I could apply my skills that I got when I studied in English Study Program. During conducting the internship program, I was placed in Marketing Division from the first month to the last month. In this division, I did some activities. They were translating short article in website of Tourism and Culture Department of Lumajang from Bahasa Indonesia into English, making short article about several tourism objects in Lumajang, making a letter, monitoring news in website, entering data about the evaluation development tourism object especially waterfall tourism in Lumajang.
In conducting those activities, I found some difficulties, one of them is monitoring news in website. In the collage, there was no lecturing and practicum class related to this activity, so I felt confused to do this job. But, I got new experience and also knew the newest news in Lumajang. I could learn new knowledge that I never know before.
Based on those explanation, it was clear that the Tourism and Culture Department is appropriate place to conduct the internship program because we learn about the ways to promote the tourism object and development the tourism destination. We can explore the tourism object because there are many tourism objects that we can visit.</note>
