Banyuwangi Culture and Tourism Department has some main divisions; there are Secretariat Division (Kesekertariatan), Culture division (Bidang Kebudayaan), Tourism division (Bidang Pariwisata) and Marketing division (Bidang Pemasaran). I did my internship program in one of that divisions, it was Secretary Division. Here, I can learn how to manage the documen and handling incoming letter and outgoing letter. The activity in this department starts on Monday up to Friday from 07.00 am until 03.30 pm. Secretary division usually handles the outgoing letter, incoming letter and organizing Banyuwangi festival. Beside Joining Banyuwangi festival (Karya Tari Festival), I also conducted some activities such as handling tax of tourism and preparing banyuwangi weekend actualization. The objectives of my internship program are to apply my skills and knowledge that I got from the English Study Program and i can to prepare myself to be professional in the real work place. During I conducted my internship program, I got some problems such as I did not know how to write the date, number and the nominal of tax in SKPD, so that I ask the staff to give me the example of it. Based on the explanation above, I concluded that Banyuwangi Culture and Tourism Department is an appropriate place to conduct the internship program, because I got a lot of experiences and knowledge. So, I can apply the skill that I have ever got from my collage.
