Lumajang Tourism and Culture District Agency was a department that manages and develops tourism object and culture in Lumajang Regency. It was located at Kawasan Wonorejo Terpadu (KWT) Lumajang Regency. Lumajang is one of regencies located in East Java province. This is very famous for its local culture, natural and unnatural attractions such as Topeng Kaliwungu, Jaran Kencak, B29, Tumpak sewu Waterfall, Dampar Beach, and Lumajang Water Park.
Those tourist acctrations are handled by Tourism and Cultural Department of Lumajang. They should always utilize, develop,manage, and promote thes attractions well so that many tourists who are interested and want to visit there so they can know the various kinds of tours in Indonesia. Based on the reasons above, I was interested to conduct my internship program at Lumajang Tourism and Culture District because I wanted to apply my skills that I got when I studied in English Study Program. During my internship program at Lumajang Tourism and Culture District, I was assigned in Destination Division. The activities that I did were Observation, Checking Data, Make a data, Put the data, Survey the place, Incoming Letters. During the internship program, the writer got several problems. The problem occurred when made a list of letters that came because the writer was confused by several types of letters. But after I got this experience, I can learn new knowledge that I never know before.
Based on the explanation, it was clear that Lumajang Tourism and Culture District Agency was an appropriate place to conduct the internship program for me as the student of English Study Program of Language, Communication and Tourism Department of State Polytechnic of Jember.
