ABSTRACT

This aim of this research to determine the income of male laying hens by giving different levels of protein and metabolic energy. The material used was 200 laying hens and were given treatment at 0 days to 59 days. The design used was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments carried out were P1 (protein ration and metabolic energy of 22% and 3100 kcal / kg), P2 (protein ration and metabolic energy of 20% and 3000 kcal / kg), P3 (protein ration and metabolic energy of 18% and 2900 kcal / kg), and P4 (protein ration and metabolic energy 16% and 2800 kcal / kg). The data obtained were analyzed by ANOVA followed by BNT test at 1% level. Based on the results of the research concluded that feeding with different levels of protein and metabolic energy had a very significant effect (P <0.01) on reception, income, and Income over feed cost but did not affect production costs.
