Indonesia is a beautiful country that has a lot of tourism objects and cultural diversitylike ethnics, languages, religions, arts and cultures that spread in 34 provinces of Sabang to Merauke. Traditional arts and cultures is the identity of a country and it can be interpreted as a characteristic of a country that make different with other country.Therefore, it is necessary to introduce and promote our culture to the touristespecially Banyuwangi traditional dances.One of the promotional mediathat we can use to promote Banyuwangi traditional dances isBooklet.Booklet is a promotional media that gives complete information such as kinds of Banyuwangi traditional dances and the historyof the dances to the society and tourists, full colour and complete with a pictures that can make the readers interestedin reading the booklet
By using booklet the readers can be easy to get the information. This booklet waswritten not only for domestic tourists but alsoforforeign tourists who want to know about Banyuwangi traditional dances so the writer made this booklet bilingually, English and Indonesian.There were nine steps procedure of making booklet that used by writer in this final project. Those were; determining purposes of promotion, determining media of promotion, budgeting,determining target audience, making concept, revising, editing, arranging layout and binding.Then, there were three data collecting methods used by author in this final project. There were interview, observation, and documentation.
Firstly this booklet hopefully could become a promotional and informational media for Banyuwangi traditional dances and useful. Secondly, this booklet could help the tourists or societies to get the information of Banyuwangi traditional dances easily. Thirdly, this booklet could be one of the media to attract the tourist to visit and see Banyuwangi traditional dances directly.
