The development of data storage media today has experienced rapid growth. We can see in daily life capacity storage media are getting bigger and also a very small size. And hand in hand with the development of public Internet access rates are higher, due to improvements in the Internet network that can be accessed for free or paid. But a problem appears when someone is going to distribute the data to his friend but are far away, or to a co-worker who has particularly high mobility. We need a system that can accommodate the user's data and pass it on the Internet so it can be accessed anywhere. And technology provided ownCloud can overcome this problem. This service will provide online data storage media so that users can store their personal data and can also share it with other users on the Internet.
The method used in completing this thesis is the method of literature, further system design and then proceed to the implementation of the system, and will be testing and evaluation stages. Tests were carried out which will initially be done by testing the network locally, and further testing in the internet. And of course that tested the feature to upload and share data to other users. There are also many other features that have been tested as a media player, a music streaming server, and also tested on windows or android device.
