Abstrack

This research examines, dry type water electrolysis process using a catalyst of NaOH 0.2%, 0.6%, 1%, 1.5% and 2%. 304 grade stainless steel plate, thickness of 1 mm to the size of 14x14 cm2 many as 14 sheets used as elctrode. Number of electrodes connected to as many as 4 sheets. The results showed that the increase in the rate of gas production and power needed for electrolysis is directly proportional to the concentration of NaOH concentration in the electrolyte solution. The most optimum gas production obtained in 1.5% NaOH concentration levels with performance ratio HHO generator 0.05368 ml / joule. HHO gas is able to be used for fuel generator dual fuel. 1.5 L gas HHO generator is able to turn an average for 4:17 seconds without the initial startup of petrol and 14.87 seconds with the initial startup of gasoline.
