Design and testing of densification briquettes type of stamping tools toggle models

ABSTRACT
Reduced energy reserves that occurred in Indonesia today, it needed a new source of alternative energy. Biomass is one of the alternative energy sources converting biomass waste to solid fuel by using densification technology, which produce ‘briquette’ is need a press machine several of the briquette machine are hydraulic press, semi mechanic press and manual press. Purposes of this study are created and test the type stamping tools briquette press toggle model. The parameters used are the briquettes density, briquettes hardness and the similarity of briquettes. Result show the highest of density is 0,869 gram/cm3 similarity of briquettes are same with distance score 0,05 – 0,1 the highest of briquette hardness is 5,307 kg/cm2 and the best easier of flames is 17,28 seconds.
