ABSTRACT

One of the methods to increase the production of string beans are using bokashi. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of kind and doses of bokashi on the growth and seed production of string beans. This study was conducted in July 2013 to October 2013 at the farm field of Seed Production Technic Department of Agricultural Production State Polytechnic of Jember. The study was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting 2 factors. The first factor is the kinds of the bokashi  (P) consisting 2 levels and the second factor is the doses of the bokashi  (D) consisting 5 levels. Further test using the BNT  test  at 5%  level. The results showed that the used kind of straw bokashi (P2)  gave real significantly in plant high at 28 dap and 35 dap. Whereas the doses of bokashi  430 gram (D5) gave real significantly effects in plant high at 21 dap, 28 dap, and 49 dap. The kinds and doses of bokashi  have not any significant interactions to all parameters on the growth and seed production of string beans.
