ABSTRACT
The purpose of the research to known the KCl dosages and KCl giving time for soybean production, so the soybean can produced optimally. The research conducted at State Polytechnic of Jember on February until June 2014. The research used a Randomized Block Factorial Design with two factors and three replications. The first factor is the dosage of KCl with four levels, namely, (1) D1: 75 kg.ha-1, (2) D2: 90 kg. ha-1, (3) D3: 105 kg.ha-1, (4) D4: 120 kg. ha-1. The second factor is the KCl giving time with three levels, namely, (1) W1: on planting time, at 7 days after planting and at 21 days after planting; (2) W2: on planting time, at 14 days after planting and at 21 days after planting; (3) W3: on planting time, at 14 days after planting and on 30 days after planting. The results showed that the dosage treatment of potassium fertilizer (KCl) gives a different effects on the parameters number of pods per plant at a dose 105 kg/ha, and the giving time of the KCl fertilizer gives a different effect on plant height parameters on 15 day after planting with the highest rates in the treatment W3, but on further testing DMRT at 5% level was not significantly different with treatment W2, and there was an interaction dosage and giving time of KCl with the highest average in the treatment D4W3 at 30 day after planting and D4W2 on 45 day after planting. But don’t give different effects on parameters number of branches, pod weight and seed weight per plant, 1000 seed weight, moisture content and germination.
